HI! I'm Shane, the founder of Your Beautiful Child, creator of the Mindful Action Project and Enchanted Embodiment. I work with families to uncover genuine radical ways to get along, have peace of mind and to deeply connect to each other.  I believe in using already set authentic family framework.   The goal: for every child and parent to operate from love and understanding, and to be able to radically relate to one another in most circumstances.

I believe you can have peace of mind, while everyone's voice gets heard and no one is made to be wrong and everyone feels validated, it's not always joyful and fun. I believe all emotions are important, even the uncomfortable ones.

Results from working with Shane have been:

  • Children listening and deeply connecting with parents

  • Radical communication between parents and children

  • Parents gaining peace of mind and enjoying being a parent

  • Children learning to regulate their own emotions

  • Reduction of overall stress

  • Creating emotionally healthy habits for children and parents

  • Parents learn how to engage in intentional play to foster growth

  • Eliminating “punishment” and out of control feelings when disciplining

  • Cultivating practical conscious parenting skills for high stress moments

BIO

Shane left her role teaching in 2006 and began her work as a special education therapist, she saw how critical working one on one is, and how much the children benefitted from the one on one attention. She also saw how desperate the parents were to be involved, and didn't know how.   Confirming how vital it is that parents became part of the teaching team.  She began Your Beautiful Child based on the need for further carry-over for parents and all family members.  Behavior issues are normal, and unless attention, work and commitment are present the same patterns and childrens behaviors stay the same or get worse.

Each child is born with a willingness to learn, and will do "good" if they can. She began coaching parents, because of the critical need for carry over and consistency for the child.  If a parent is not working on developing their own inner strength, they pass on their own issues in a non-conscious way.

Old belief systems and limitations are an epidemic. Intentional play is crucial. Teachable moments happen ALL the time. Parents who realize the power of support, are the parents that will learn how to introduce behaviors that set a child up for success.

Whether an child has diganosed special needs,  or has has challenges that limit their capacity to thrive, Shane  sees their greater  potential, she wants you to see it too.

Compassion and joy are Shane's superpowers. She uses her education, experience, and intuition... She leans on her background in theatre and improvisational arts.

As a child Shane was constantly in trouble for talking, this is a constant reminder that embracing  what a child does naturally, is their gift to the world.

Shane has facilitated workshops at public schools, charter schools, non-profits, wellness retreats, parent groups, and professional developments. She is a published author and the recipient of The Brooklyn She-Roe award, given to women of excellence in the community.  She works privately with families, children and leads in person and virtural group coaching programs. Shane works with an integrative creative family approach and guides each member of the family towards empowerment. She understands how important it is to have more ease and peace of mind at home.
